I didn't count Chmmr (Chenjesu and M.bots) and the Pkunk did not appear (super sad).
Ok, only 4.

Slylandro,
VUX,
Yehat,
Chmmr,
Shofixti,
Kohr-Ah,
Melnorme,
and the Lurg.

I also saw the bonus melee ship in the files before it was released, I was like "WHAAAAAT" when it's ditty was a Star Wars theme. And also I found the Lurg in the files and I realized they were fully programmed, so I searched around and found them in the ring of the broadcast range the Chmmr supplied and the edge of Patrol area 1.

Issue: v0.1.1 (I don't recall this in 1.0) does not save settings between sessions. So if I were to change resolution, play a bit, exit the game and open it later I would need to keep resetting this. Using the Windows Installer provided on Windows XP Media Center Sp3 (it's basically XP with a few extra programs).

I'm having this problem too. It keeps defaulting the 320x240 for me, and I have to set it back to 1024x768.

Left a highlight for Shiver but I'm posting this here too:

Lurg needs a tiny bit more tracking for it's shots - while it can beat the Transformer when playing almost-flawlessly the accuracy of it's shots are ridiculous. A bit more honing and it world serve it's function much better.

Also: definitely necessary for Lurg to not be immediately countered by shofixti.

I love the demo. I thought there was a lot of good content for a demo. You set up some good plots.

By the way, how do you know if you've got all the content in the demo? It seems like some people have alluded to some content that I missed.

I liked the Syreen joke.
