Hey folks,

All right, so maybe the title gives it away. I know not everyone visits everywhere, but those of you who own a Wii and have some slight technical knowledge should stroll over to the Ultronomicons Wii port page. Well, if you want to try out UQM on a Wii that is. There's also a thread for it over at UQM, where the creator, Zared, hangs out.

Off you go, enjoy yourselves!

Nice pun Luki...  :)

If I had a Wii I would defiantly try this out, sounds like a pretty cool MOD.
And that's all I got to say about that.

Hmmmm, I wonder what the next port will be?
Lever1: Hey, I want too push the button
Lever2: No! I want too!
Lever3: Stop whining you two!
Button: Hey Lever 3, can we switch jobs? I'm getting bored of pushing the button....
Lever3: Sweet!
Lever1/2: awww no fair!

epic I'm going to try this right now, and post some pics?  ;D

Update: Works perfect except I loaded a game with two cyborgs and couldn't quit!

Okay, I tried to get this working, and I guess I don't know enough about how to use my Wii to do it unassisted.  I couldn't install the Homebrew Channel on my Wii.  I tried downloading the zip file with the Wii's browser, but it just threw an error (it couldn't recognize a zip file).  How do I do this?

Scott_Irving

Download the bootmii installer and one of the exploits to an SD card. Depending on what software version of wii your running their are different exploits and versions of said exploits.

What version are you running? it seems really complicated at first but it's really quite simply, I'll certainly help.

Okay, so I've dug a bit deeper.  Am I right in my understanding that I need an SD card reader for my computer to make this happen?  I can't just do it with the Wii's browser?

Scott_Irving

indeed, you need to load the files to an SD card off your computer first, then load the sd card from the wii menu

Eth

Oh well.  They're cheap, at least.  I'll pick one up soon.

I've been playing this on my Wii for a couple of weeks and it's been great!  Using the Wii controllers with the attached nunchuk make controlling things so much fun (once you get everything set up the way you want it)!  My only warning would be to save often as I am occasionally thrown out to the main menu during conversations with various aliens.  Also, I have yet to figure out how to get the speech or updated audio to function...if anyone can figure that out, I'll be your best friend!  ;D

Lukipela

StarController also has a video of playing on the Wii up if anyone is curious but doesn't have a Wii.
