General Discussion / Re: Star Control 4

So if you want a Star Control 4 it means it's got to be a direct sequel of SC3 automatically? I don't see it like that. It simply implies another Star Control game.

If you are here to criticize this game, Please go do it elsewhere.

Doesn't sound like he's criticising the game at all, and he's free to do it here as this is the Starcontrol discussion board.

PabloLuna: Some critique. The proportions seem a bit off. Her head is quite small compared to her torso and her neck. You can tell by how her neck is almost the full width of her head, this makes her look odd. The shape of the head itself is a bit strange too. Also you might've been better off starting with all the outlines and getting them right before you start colouring. Though I like the hair colouring (especially he highlighting on top) the 2 'bangs' on the front of her face look strange because of the outlines, and the piece of cloth holding her "bra" is the exact same colour as the hair behind it, which looks strange. Also there's still some jagged edges on her from the outlining. It's especially noticeable on her arms/torso.

Bold attempt on picking a Syreen though, since they're pretty reliant on being attractive to work right.

I'd be pretty pissed off if I ran a successful bank and then the government nationalised it. You're all about reducing incentive for success aren't you!

If this succes is at the cost of Joe Everyman's spending power and job security then one can wonder if succes is the right word.

Wait... seriously? Not to be a negative nanny here, but isn't it quite obvious what the results of this poll are going to be like?

My sis' got herself Scar Tissue, the autobiography from Anthony Kiedis, the singer of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I only flicked through the early chapters so far but it's an interesting read, though I loathe the American/Florida boy opinionettes found in some of the passages, like how he's so in tune with the earth because some far-off relative was part of a native-american tribe. It's an interesting tale if you stick to the factual bits though.

Just wondering, PabloLuna and Numbers, what are your sources? Which books did you read/courses did you take/people did you speak with to get your perspectives?

Happy New Year!

In the past 24 hours I've:
  • Spent dusk 'till dawn with a bunch of guys/girls just watching TV in our underwear, eating leftovers and being a shy imitation of a 60s love-in.
  • Gone out to dinner with 2 friends to a nearby Greek restaurant to feed off of their reserve of meat dishes.
  • Ran into an old friend/bassplayer who mentioned being back on cocaine, being back in music and taking a course in opening a tattoo shop. Also we made arrangements to jam again per our previous agreement which stated that if he went back to coke, we'd start a Death-Metal band.
  • Watched a flick gaining some introspective into myself and where I've been at a few years back, only now seeing the self-destructive patterns I had.
  • Laughed my ass off standing around in the freezing cold catching up with someone I ran into.
  • Enjoyed some of the finest Oliebollen of the past and present year.

It's shaping up to be quite a year!

I have come to find it particularly aggravating when someone points out that there are flaws in someone else's post but does not point to any specifics other then "you don't get it" or "you're making a lot of mistakes". IMO this isn't constructive at all.

Not a flash game, though there is a browser client that runs on Java, I'd say that's close enough. A REALLY addicting sideview 2D shooter... with airplanes! Feel free to add me so I can whoop you. I signed up as 'RRockon'.

It's an interesting read though. Makes you put the whole crisis in perspective...

That Ur-Quan looks, for lack of a better word, cutesy. Incredible.

Merry Christmas everyone!
