Finally, after downloading 50Mbs of UQM remixes I'll start downloading here...

Gonna test it.  It´s been a heavy schedule these days, so I haven't had time for too much.

I'll be reviewing as soon as I have a chance.

I use to go one by one with these news.  I finally finished with UQM and now this one follows.  C'ya soon, gonna test it... ;)

In the meantime, happy holidays.

I love the hyperspace remix.  The first seconds have a problem with volume of notes, but the rest sounds pro.  I like how it feels to listen that tune.

Haven't heard yet the OGG tune.  Is there any app around to convert to and from OGG?

It looks you have put lots of effort on it.  Great work.
You have some sort of movie director feeling. ;)

General Discussion / What is the best remix
« on: September 26, 2003, 07:37:11 am »
IMO, it is the remix made by Axes Denied.
Rush remixes are very good.
Joseph Collins "Ariloulaleydaedadeda" is a good one too.

General Discussion / Star Control lyrics

If I was a singer, that would be the lyrics of my next song.

Ariloulalelaydada dadedadeda
Loulidada Zoq-Fot-Pik
By the Mighty Gods of Dogar and Kazon
Who will dare to face the sacred prayers of Pkunk.
"Aleluya, aleluya, idiot, jerk, nitwit, stupid, dodo, fool, aleluya, aleluya!!"

Fwiffo VII, the mighty captain of the Black Spathi
will fight the Ur-Quan and its hierarchy of battle thralls.
Sad is the fate of the depressive Utwig.

Glorious are the chants of the beautiful Syreen
and their fleet of Penetrators.

You may post the lyrics of your SC song here...

General Discussion / Star Control II remixes
« on: September 22, 2003, 05:00:29 am »
I have some tunes I made (remixes of Star Control II tunes) hosted by FilePlanet which was bought by Gamespy.  Those are available from Pages of Now & Forever too, under "remixes by Pablo".

Ur-Quan, the evil caterpillars

Intro theme

Spathi, the coward crabs

Ilwrath, the worshippers of Dogar and Kazon

Syreen theme (censored unsexy version, for adults only) :p  ;)

Pkunk battles

Chmmr, the digital/crystal creatures

Orz, the mysterious fish

Earth Starbase Commander theme

Sailing in space

The sinister and buggy Slylabdro probes

The Zoq, the Fot and the Pik

It's electronic/soundtrack music.  Original tunes composed by Eric Berge, Dan Nicholson and Riku Nouttajarvi.  If you like them I have 3 more tunes (Arilou, Vux and Supox) I haven't posted but eventually I will.

If you could drop me some words, that would be great.:)

All tunes can be played using Winamp 2.x.

General Discussion / Re: 3D Ships

Those look interesting.
Models could improve in texturing and details but the overall work seems Ok.

Yeah, I hate the conventional one ship-starfield background-lens flare composition.  In that sense, it is Ok.

One thing that surprised me was that everything was made in 3D.  Usually, shots and engine glowing is made with 2D retouching.  Nice work.  may be it doesn't look as good as a 2D retouch but in time, it might.

Keep up the good work.

I am interested in knowing the rules to build alien words, names and statements for each race.  Any info would be appreciated.

General Discussion / Graphics in SC
« on: April 18, 2003, 06:26:52 am »
I loved the artistic approach used in SC2.
I would suggest human characters to be drawings with no outline and the rest can be 3D.  After several experiments I reached the conclussion that it looks appealing.

The usage of puppets in SC3 could have been done differently.

Here are some examples of fan art I've made.

This one is a SC pic with outlines,  in SC4 it shouldn't have outlines, so outlines should be colored.  I didn't do that because of some lazyness.

This one is from another game.  This is a retouched photo with CGI background.  That's another approach.

EDIT: If you can't see it, it is due to bandwidth problems. Check it out later, you'll love the pic.

When bandwidth limit is reached, it shuts me down for 2 hours.
