Game I've been playing recently (a lot) is Sacred Gold. Hacknslash action is pretty fun, love the dodging mechanic, and if you want to storm straight through there's a character that does that AND won't stop referencing Lord of the Rings. Mind you, the interface was designed by a cryptozoologist on drugs, and the manual was clearly written based on the build before it which was designed by a sensible person. Good luck finding any explanation of some of the bonuses - one piece of equipment I found claimed it gave me a boost of "Split +2%". Whatever the hell that means. Also, there's a wiki, but people only seem to fill in the information for the sequel, and even places like GameFAQs leave it woefully underdocumented. Ah well, it's pretty fun.

In my area, people don't seem to get the idea that if your dog craps on the ground, you clean up after it. Because everyone LOVES navigating shit-covered pavements.

Well there's 2 major differences here: Firstly, the sheer volume of input that comes into Google video every day. You can't reasonably be expected to pre-vet all that. TV programme makers and newspaper article writers/editors are working on one thing at a time, and have time to check out what their contributors are saying.

Secondly, the ease of correction. In the newspapers, you can't exactly go out and recall every copy of that issue and replace it with an updated one. On TV, you control the distribution, and people will be watching at one specific time or have to wait for the repeats, which again you can hold off until it's corrected, but everyone will still see the same thing, ie the racism. With google video, you have no guarantee that everyone saw the video at the same time, with the same content, and by taking it down you prevent a lot more people from seeing it, whereas on TV they'd have seen it if they were going to; you've already done maximum damage.

Don't ask me where stuff like BBC iPlayer fits into this.

And no, I don't have a picture of my coat. It's an ancient Burberry one, with a bit of added trimming around the sleeves and the bottom.

I'm pissed off at the Italian judge who decided on this little conviction. WHAT WERE THEY THINKING.
Escapist Magazine article for a more fun read.

Rarely seen outside without one and a big long coat, upwards of twenty years old.

I had a black felt trilby before, and now I have a black fedora with leather band too.

I'm pissed off that snow. Again. Now. And I've bought a second hat. And it's going to get covered in snow.

General Discussion / Re: Looking for a SC2 Website w/controls

You can edit all controls ingame, but the defaults are:
Up = Thrust ship, move menu cursor up
Down = Move menu cursor down
Left, Right = Turn ship, move menu cursor left and right
Escape = Engage warp escape in battle, leave planet surface
Enter = Confirm menu choice
Space = Back one menu page
Right CTRL = Primary fire
Right Shift = Secondary fire, leave planet surface

That's what I remember, anyway, I haven't played in a few months.

I personally think the next doctor will rock, as long as the writers are on the ball. From the new series previews I've seen it looks a bit too much like an action movie, but that's probably some preview editor getting a load of clips and going "Hey guize people liek action rite?"

I think they would have killed the Faz, but after killing the Mael-Num. Of course we know how that turned out, so I doubt they would have stuck around to blow 'em up with the Sa-Matra and some VERY PISSED Kzer-Za around.

Off Topic / Re: What are you reading?

Dilbert. Lots and lots of Dilbert. Specifically, Dogbert's Management Handbook, Dilbert's Guide to the Rest of Your Life and two of the all-comic compilations. Not only is it funny, it may or may not be preparing me for later life.

So, the snow's retreating. What do we get in its place?

A happy bunny I am not, when I've got to trudge through a slushy environment. Now it's twice as slippery with the rain pooling on the ice, and it goes up your trousers when you walk through it. Oh, and whenever there's rain, at my school we get The Puddle. About 12 feet by 5 along the 5-foot wide path into school that has a fence on one side and some muddy grass on the other. Fortunately we don't have school today, being a weekend, but I saw it beginning to form yesterday. I might charge my phone and see if I can get blurry pictures of it if it does turn up.

(Note: All measurements are being worked out from memory here).

The difference between ostracisation and real dictatorships is the reason you were able to make that post: You don't have to lie down and take it. Also, for my part, I've been raising your karma, I find your posts interesting reads.

Lucky bastard, we still have snow lying around. One of my friends has almost no grip left on his shoes so you can imagine what that's like for him, but more importantly there's assholes everywhere who seem to think that a short, squat person walking around in a long dark coat with a black scarf and a black trilby is some sort of target for snowballs. I think I have a right to be pissed off here. Also, a couple of days ago, there were 13, 14-year-old morons hanging around right next to a church, swearing at and then snowballing anything they saw.

"Hey look at that dog."
"That's a f**king racing dog."
"HEY NICE DOG" *lob*

Also, BS: The same government who has road blockages while the Transport Minister suns himself on the continent, or something like that.
