Title: Songs that have been stuck in your head
Post by: Kerma on November 09, 2009, 03:40:18 pm
What Songs/Jingles have been stuck in your head? Post them here.

I introduce you to two weeks of my musical life, "WITH OR WITHOUT GENTLEMENTLEMEN"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eIAWc7rxx6Q

It's really annoying to me, and I really hate it, but I can't get it out of my head.

Any annoying pop song (usually sung by a blond female with an irritating, high pitch voice) sticks in my head until the next day....(Ex: party in the USA, the irony being that Im Canadian.)

The theme from movement...three? It think? Of Spring, from the four seasons.

In fact, I think I'm going to go listen to that now. Maybe it will help. If not, oh well. I got to listen to some awesome Vivaldi.

I had new world symphony stuck in my head last week, but spring would probably be the best composition to have stuck in your head out of the four seasons.

I would just like to state for the record that those of us stuck with capped broadband that wont allow us to waste our monthly allowance on fancy things like on line music and video feel hurt and angry every time a topic like this comes around. The shame, she burns.

So I'll just say that pretty much anything I hear on the radio will stick in my head. until some other song comes around and does the same. When I'm really happy at work I'll catch myself humming the imperial march theme from Star Wars. Does that count?

Popeye's pipe must be a mess if he drinks and eats with it in his mouth.

Popeye's pipe must be a mess if he drinks and eats with it in his mouth.

Maybe he blends up his food and pours it down his pipe?

Fun fact: Popeye, like many sailors in the days of old, is toothless.  He just gums his food.  But he's tough, see?  He even eats nuts!  I read it in the original Thimble Theater comics.

He lost all his teeth from smoking that damn pipe!  ;)

Gumming nuts sounds gay and painful.

Gumming nuts sounds gay and painful.

Well, sailors in the days of old did a lot of such things on long sea voyages...

But really, Popeye doesn't believe in labels like "gay" and "straight."  "I yam what I yam and that's all that I yam," is his philosophy.

Very true Eth, I guess he'd just leave the nut in his mouth until it was saturated in saliva and then try to gum it.

How difficult it must have been, being forced to play cards. Against your best friend.

It was, honestly. I usually beat him but he actually won that one.

(note that I chose to interpret 'difficult' as 'difficult to win', in case you thought otherwise)

Oh, it's gotta be that stupid "BOOM" song!  Have you noticed that now that the record companies are losing so much money, they're much more willing to put utter crap on the airwaves from their existing artist roster so they don't have to shell out extra money to develop new and better talent...?

Currently, I'm listening to the Precursors...and enjoying the heck out of it! ;)

Thats the way its always going to be, the record companies will do everything in their power to do the cheapest thing possible.

"Buy cheap, Sell dear" is the idea....Not to be confused with "Buy cheap, sell deer"....

I love "Birdman Kicked my ass" and "I Whupped Batman's Ass" by Wesley Willis.  I even added Birdman Kicked My Ass to my music that plays when I die in a flight simulator (IL2).

"Forgot About Dre" has been a problem for me lately.  My sister keeps playing it, and now it's stuck.

A week ago, it was this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2_4n9hRQMMU and it was caused by guys I know repeatedly playing/singing it during a show I was in.  Yes, the song is VERY special.

I think it was "I gotta Feeling", for the record. Now I have "love will tear us apart" in my head, which I'm a lot happier with.

The infamous, Amazing Horse (http://www.weebls-stuff.com/toons/Amazing+Horse/).

It's a dangerous little tune it is.

The whole collection of Weebl-related stuff has some dangerously catchy loops to its credit. I nearly got trapped in the hypnotic patterns of this Amazing Horse.

The one I remember most was the Badgers (http://www.weebls-stuff.com/toons/badgers/) track. I'm just sad that I can't remember right now where a friend of had done this in the Warcraft 3 editor, back when this video was new.

Most recently I was introduced to another of their works, which fortunately doesn't descend into infinite loop territory, Electro Gypsy (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-wX8AbBWc08). It may not continue forever, but it still has the effect of entering your brain and never leaving (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/EarWorm)!

I recently heard Toxic by Britney Spears (I don't know why, I think someone was playing it somewhere) and now I have that song stuck in my head.
It is such an annoying song!

I'm afraid to say it but I have 3 or 4 Lady Gaga songs playing in my head simultaneously. As much as I want to dislike those songs, I just can't.

I woke up with 'American Pie' by Don Mclean stuck in my head today. I know I'd been playing it on the piano not that long ago, but it's still kind of weird for it to be there first thing in the morning.

I've had the LT's hyperspace remix on for a while and, I swear, when I hit the pause button, the music kept going ;D
