Hail and well met.

My name (or at least my online moniker) is ErekLich.
I'm living at a college in East Texas.
And I am a gamer.

We hope you enjoy your stay at the forums, and remember to *enjoy the sauce*.

Just out of curiosity, which warzone are you at?
Oh God, please don't let me die today... tomorrow would be SO much better...

Â I'm Eth (more or less, mostly less) and I live in a rich country full of violent fat people.  I, too, am a gamer.  Also a father, an artist, a husband and a bookseller.  My favorite book is The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, my favorite film is 2001: A Space Odyssey, and my favorite song is "Fortune" by the Dog Faced Hermans.  I frequent http://www.trekbbs.com under the nom de plume of "Kinnison," http://bbs.stardestroyer.net under "Currald," and I have a website of my own: http://www20.brinkster.com/pariahpress/index.htm.  I'm sorry to hear that you are living in a warzone.  That sounds dreadful.

Howdy.

I'm one of the less frequent posters here, and by happy coincidence I too am somewhere in Europe, well northern anyway.

And I'm not really a gamer, except for the one game.

You think you're weird? I've pretty much ahd to put the rest of my life on pause for a while what with this whole Starcon thing :) ppl are starting to get really worried about me...

V: I didn't know one could be both english and irish? When i lived over there, I wlways kinda got the impression that ya all didn't get along that well... As for Acts of Gord,, i've actually read through it, and I'll have tio agree, he is a miserablefellow... Still, it was interesting to read through...

Um, Lukipela?  You are second in number of posts.  I hardly think that qualifies as "one of the less frequent posters"...

At current post to day ratio I estimate that both Rider and box will have surpassed me by the end of the week. I really don't post that often here, I've just been around since day one :) You know what my post count looks like in the places where I do post frequently :)

Hello, my name is Clark Kalishek Landry (no joke).  I live in Wisconsin and am a Renaissance without a cause.  I'm into everything from chess to rugby.  I work as a slot machince technician, writer (on those rare occasions when what I write gets finished), and every now and then I also get paid for one of the thousands of photos I take.  Hopefully I won't be burned out before I complete my economics doctorate, philosophy bachelors, or computer systems analyst bachelors.

I'm a straight-edger, cancer (gemini cusp)/rooster (for those who believe that BS), and have been tooling around online for damn near a decade now.  I'm known as UxD, SankaCoffee, and Oex in various MUDs and a few choice websites where they don't allow the underscore character.  Yes, even after all these years I don't have one of those pointless "this is my boring life" websites, although I've started to build one 20 seperate times now.

My only hope is to one day be a father and a husband.  I'd give all my meager possessions and aspirations to find that happiness.  Everything except Star Control and the quest for a true sequal that is.

Lukipela -- I sincerely doubt I'll surpass you.  I tend to avalanche any board I'm new to then trickle off to one or two posts a week.  You should have seen me at my peak on http://www.lies.com

I've grown up in Ireland since I was one and a half, L, but I was born in Germany, my father's German, and my mother is English... Which is to say, her parents were English, moved to South Africa for a few years, then brought my mother back to England when I was four.

English and Irish people get along fine, really - in the Republic, at least... When were you in Ireland?

Oh, it's bout three years back now. I lived there for a year, working in a couple of hotels down in County Wicklow. I dunno, I just thought that the general attitude towards the english was frosty a best, even though they strangely enough never had any problems with any specific englishmen. And of course, there'd be all the IRA songs about english blood in the pubs every night.

you should check out the site.  It's pretty much just a nice place to hang if you're capable of questioning the media or able to have your own independant, intelligent thought.  As for why I frequent there, it's a mystery.

It's actually different than it used to be -- it used to be just a once-a-month page or three rant about whatever huge lie was current.  It's become a new beast in the last 8 years, though, and the "www.lies.com" domain really doesn't fit what it is anymore.

But hey, the name is in demand and JBC (the site's owner) has refused to sell it a ton of times.  I think that's damn cool considering he makes no profit whatsoever from it.
