WHAMMY!

Eth and fluffy_banana each get hit for five points (-5) and kvn8907 gets hit for one point (-1).  George Washington told me to keep the whammy-er anonymous.

FreakyM gets thirty seven points (+37) and fluffy_banana gets seventeen points (+17) for being so PCS and ACS respectively (Controversial Subject thread).

Whammied anonymously?  Can they do that?  Did they at least give a reason?

Yes, you can whammy anonymously or not if you request.  If you don't state specifically whether or not to remain anonymous I'll decide via whatever means I choose at the time.  Yes, a reason was given.  That also remained anonymous by virtue of George Washington's vertical flight.

Oh yeah, Lukipela gets twenty four points (+24) for thinking outside the box.

WHAMMY!

Eth is knocked down to 666 by a hit for another three points (-3) at the cost of two from FreakyM (-2) who says that, "Credit should be given where credit is due."  He wants to send a message to the ACS'ers.

How did I end up with so many points? Last, I saw, I had fifty or something.

Crazy. Crazy, indeed. :)

Lukipela gets fifty five points (+55) for his SCDB history thread and will get a MAJOR penalty if he abandons it prematurely and a MAJOR reward if he gets it up-to-date and keeps it up-to-date.

fossaman gets seventy seven points (+77) because the power of the fossa compelled me to do so.  And because I'm bored at quarter to 2:00 AM and have all this extra energy tonight because the g/f and I were unable to enjoy each other's company.

If you're saying, "Hey, that's not fair, you--" that's right, it's not fair.  Read my first post.  "Yeah, but as I was saying, you haven't been offering any contests lately."  Don't be a chump.  If you're funny/interesting/intelligent/witty/happen to catch my eye while I'm bored you can earn points without being prompted.  Don't lay it on too thick, though.  I won't be shy in taking points away from a ham.

Yes, so long as your winnings cover the cost of shipping you'll receive the "overflow."

And you may get points for returning.  I haven't decided yet.  Depending on your posts, you may LOSE points for returning  :D

Carrot and stick eh? Just keep in mind that it may at times be a month between updating, and other times just a day or two. wouldn't want you to brign out the stick for no good reason.

WHAMMY

In a baffling display of impertinence and a great deal of difficulty for me, fossaman takes away one point (-1) from everyone with a positive balance (aside from himself) for a dazzling twenty-two point (-22) bitchslap.  This costs him eleven points (-11).

I'm also awarding him two hundred twenty one points (+221) for such a humourously aggressive act, mostly because I think he may need them to absorb any backlash.

WHAMMY

fluffy_banana has opened the can of worms and attempted to take 10 points from me because of my signature (scrolling smilies).  What he fails to realize is that I can simply give myself any amount of points I see fit, and as such have been omitting myself from the GYAP points program on purpose.

fluffy won't lose or gain any points from this little display.  Honestly, I'd expected someone like RTyp06 or kvn8907 to try this amazinging display of impertinence.  I think retaining my signature is punishment enough -- especially considering it was his thread calling for fancier signatures which prompted me to make mine.

Perhaps it prompted you, but I don't endorse using scrolling anything in signatures. Or smilies.

The essence of a good sig is a simple sig. Try to get a single point across, or a joke, or at least organize it so it's there if people want to read it but doesn't fill up a rediculous amount of room.

To sum it up, your sig is extremely hard on everyone's eyes. I suggest you at least get rid of the scrolling bit (make the smilies stationary), and center the ending two lines (to create a cascading effect).

I suggest no.

At least for the time being, anyway.  I'm still hot from everyone crying about sarcasm and smilies, so I'm going to overuse noisy smilies so much that peoples' eyes bleed.  Also, why do you suggest a "single themed" sig when yours has multiple themes?  Finally, centered text looked bad for the link when I tried it.

Unless it's truly "cascading" with each line being successively larger, text shouldn't be centered.  A call for "better signatures" doesn't mean that centering is always the best way to go.

No, it doesn't, and I never said so.

Also, why do you suggest a "single themed" sig when yours has multiple themes?

I didn't say that very well, obviously. I meant that the sig should be divided in ways that adhere to common sense. For instance, my sig's first second line is devoted exclusively to links to software I use often. The last line is a quote, and any further quote-lines would be placed after it.

In general, I think it's best to keep your sig extremely simple (just a single point or joke). However, if you're going to add multiple lines, at least organize them in a way that makes sense and is easily readable.

All I asked was that you remove the scrolling part; I don't mind the smilies themselves that much, but they grate on my eyes when they're moving. You can get the point across without being mesmerizingly obnoxious, you know.

I suggest no.

Can you PLEASE whine about something else now?
