Well, I'm sort of back, and wondering if the Thraddash survived into the future...the Umgah did or didn't, I'll have to find out, but I'll play them again.
I love having clones. I do all the bad stuff and the other me's gets blamed!

Okay, added some Spathi to the mix. I'm definately no RPer, so let me know whether or not you want me to change or remove anything.

Dare we even nail down some locations?

1)  Maria, your BSS crew are in the past.  Spathiwa isn't destroyed, though the Pkunk _are_ in the beginning phases of their rampage.

2)  fluffy, remember, you're headed for a decoy that the Druuge are eyeballing as well.  It's a shame you're all relying on your view screens and sensors rather than just looking out the window  :D

Yeah, well, Windows are too expensive.  :P

And they tend to crash a lot. ... Right.  anyway, when I finally "board" is it just empty space, or what?

Yeppers.  Well, actually, it depends on how you board.  If you send out people in suits, they'll obviously see there's nothing there.

If you launch a shuttle and attempt a hull-to-hull connection, your sensors will indicate that you're coupled although there won't be any type of impact shudder.

If you use some type of "sleeve", again, it will indicate a connection although not connected.  Don't worry, as your people will most likely be in environmental suits they won't die once the airlock is opened, though they might be blown out of the sleeve due to the rapid decompression once the airlock is opened.

Puupet would only worry if the valuable resources (some call them 'people') actually died, I'm pretty sure. Even if the resources are malfunctioning (i.e. injured) you can still throw them in the furnaces.

Heck, ya can even throw them in the furnaces dead!  You just don't get quite as much satisfaction without a scream, though....

In any case, methinks they'd send people in vac suits, so as not to risk valuable company property.

Of course, this comes after they deal with being boarded themselves!

EDIT: Sorry, fb, no mauler blueprints today!

Crimson turned to face Purplish with a really creepy-wide smile (even for a melnorme). "Ahh, yes captain, but we need not worry about the Glory Device anymore. I just performed a quick operation with our ship´s mainframe. . I will attempt to hack into the Scout´s databanks and try acquire the Blueprints.."

I don't get it. If you haven't hacked into the Scouts systems, how do you know there is no Glory Device? If your operation had already produced that info, surely you wouldn't need to hack my ship for tis blueprints? I can't continue the stroy before I know what you mean here...

So, are the future Umgah/Thraddash still existent or what? I need a little basis before I go diving into this...

I've explained what races are survived in the present (the future).  The Earthlings, the VUX, the Supox, and the Melnorme.  Currently (in the past), all races which survived The Grand Council thread are alive.

Is anyone going to play as any of the multitude of crewmembers I've created (or make one of their own)?  I'd like to know if I should abandon that particular idea.

I considered playing Chief Engineer Tealish, but I decided on playing a Melnorme ship captain instead. You have a lot more control over what you do, that way. Seeing a no one is giving orders to you (other than perhaps the nation itself [which in this case, I control as well]).
