in reply to myself, certain ships cant get certain items, especially if already maxed out. like the arilou cant get thrusties or jets. the two best ships to 'max' out are the mycon and the yehat. i am just a birdie too! if you have game genie, i suggest playing with some of the codes for this title. i made one for the lousy spathi; one hit from forward gun destroys any ship. also developed rapid fire which makes earthers and arilou fire a continuous stream of death, add many dynamos with the push left cheat and they are formidable indeed. t
