As a computer person since my 386/20 in 1990 or so, Star Control was my first game I completed in play.
Its like coming home after all these years.  This game rocks, no other word works, period.
Now i'm gonna take it down and star again after almost 30 years.  To the people who are running this site and for all there work........."thank you".
Glad to be back and hope i'll be around for a while.

A small favor please.  When I fight the early spider ship, how do I get my ship to fire its weapons?
I hates loosing so I need to kill this one early.  Thanks for any help.

I"m playing the new verison of Star Control 2UQM.  Its a smaller screen on my pc then a full screen and i've just came back from the moon and have to kill a spider in his pick/reddish ship and I don't know how to fire the weapons on my ship.  Been 30 + years since I played this game.  Senior moment I believe.

I think the default controls might be different to those in the original PC version - try the right Ctrl and Shift keys.

Ok Zeraches i'll give that a try.  Its like the begining of the game and i'm just back from the moon, without trying the super melee thing, i've NO idea how to fire my weapons.  Been a long time.  Thanks for your help with this.  Hope it works.
