I was wondering, if the Ur-Quan were real, and we were defeated, what would people actually vote to be Fallow Slaves or not? I mean, it would be slightly easier to rebel if you were a battle thrall (as we've seen with the Spathi). Also, I don't know, the idea of being trapped under the slave shield would be quite scary, knowing I would never see the sun again.

That's a really good question. I think that it's really hard to say once you get down to it. In the end, would you choose eternal imprisonment, or to fight for an unjust cause? I think I would choose the first, but I don't know for sure. Eternity is a very long time.

Oh well, remember that if this happens in real life eventually we'd better send out a ship to go on a science expedition Wink

Yeah,
I would hate that big red pulsating shield above my head which I could never escape, I would never see a blue sky again...
Then again, if I knew the Kohr-ar were coming I think I would prefer to be under the slave shield, where I might be safe.

All things being considered, "safe" from the Kohr-Ah under the slave shield is roughly equivalent to saying "safe until they kill off all of the free-roaming species in the sector, and then they'll crack the shield like an eggshell and kill us too."

Yeah, it's safety until one day it's death. The Kzer-Za will even tell them where you are.

Okay, alive for very slightly longer...

I wonder what the Kzer-Za will do now, they'll travel along all the dead worlds and enslave hardly anyone (just a couple that the Kohr-Ah missed, like the Utwig, Supox and Druuge).  Then they'll be stumped... Unless they've developed intergalactic travel. Or IDF...

Also, don't the Kohr-Ah kind of always win. I mean, Kohr-Ah can kill the slaves, but the Kzer-Za can't enslave dead people...

I'll make it so you can change your vote

Edit: Damn it! I can't work out how to change it, I'm sure you used to be able to allow it

Fixed that for you, there's an option to click to allow vote changes.

Anyway, without Kohr-Ah knowledge I'd like to think I'd choose fallow slave. With the knowledge, Batlte Thrall who secretly builds gigantic super fast long range ship to escape the inevitable doom.

By the way, even if the kohr-Ah win, I'm sure the Kzer-Za will encounter some new Thrall races on their journey. 20 000 years is a long time, and unless the Kohr-Ah torch every planet, something mat have appeared.

Actually, we already know that the Kohr-Ah don't destroy the Fallow Slaves, because of the Faz. They would of killed the Faz if that were true.
Also, yeh, that's true, but would it be long enough to have a sentient creature which has developed rockets?

I think they would have killed the Faz, but after killing the Mael-Num. Of course we know how that turned out, so I doubt they would have stuck around to blow 'em up with the Sa-Matra and some VERY PISSED Kzer-Za around.

That's a very good point, yeh, I would get out of there.
I've always wondered what the other Milleu races were like though... You never meet them... or know much about them.
Also, aren't the Utwig meant to be the Faz or something?

Hmmmm, I don't remember Utwig and Faz being mentioned together but then again I might have forgot. Maybe your thinking of Melnorme and Mael-Num {Which are supposed to be the same thing}

The Utwig homeworld is named Fahz, which is what I think is the connection. I don't believe it proves anything.
