Yeah, I agree. Having TfB make an "SC4" would effectively legimitize SC3 and make it canon. And I'll have none of that thank you. So I voted no, in the hopes that TfB will one day make a true sequel to SC II rather than build off the whole SC3 story.

But I see some of you have voted yes. that's fine, if you think SC3 is a worthy successor to SC II that's your business. Traitors.

Yeah, these yes's may not mean "yes, and canon to 3." 

Unfortunately, since there's already a Star Control 3 in existence, it'd be a pain in the toochus to call it that and make sense to everyone who buys the wrong SC3 online.  "Gee, only $3?  Wow, this game still sucked for that price!"

I don't care what they call it or what's it canon to, but getting TFB to make another Star Control is like tilting at windmills, seems like they're stuck with making disney games for now until eternity.
The times of TFB making games I want to play have ended. It's up to blizzard and bioware now to entertain me .

Four generally comes after three, yes. Making a four implies that there is a three. In fact, it strongly suggests that number four was preceded in good order by number three, which is an accepted part of the sequence 1-2-3-4. If someone gets SC4, they will not wonder which the two other games in the series are.
