PC Gamer magazine wants to list the top 100 PC games of all time chosen by readers in their March issue. Their website for voting lists the Editorial Top 100, which lists Star Control II at #54. The great thing is that you can select your top 5 games to vote for. For example, you can choose Star Control at #1 and select 4 other games for the remaining 4 positions. With the campaign for a new Star Control in progress, it would be great to say that Star Control II is one of the top 100 PC games of all time according to the March 2009 issue of PC Gamer. The website is at http://www.pcgamertop100.com/What are your thoughts and feelings about this?

1 SC2 2 Age of empires 2 3 Half life 2 4 Diablo 2 5 Simcity 2000
I had a tough call on if i was going to include Wing Commander 3 or Diablo 2.. or lemmings, or total annihilation.. so many to chose.

What are your thoughts and feelings about this?
My thoughts are that I usually ignore these things. Star Control II may be a great game. It may even be the greatest game. But I don't see how voting it up on whatever list is currently topical helps much. In this case though, since meep has started his initiative and all I can see a point to it. So I'll go register. Thanks for the heads up.

Oh, how I wish for a proper sequel to Deus Ex... (Invisible War was shit)

Mine were based on the amount of time I spent on these games and the impact of the games (i.e. lack of sleep) on my life.

My votes weren't the games I liked most. I did games that revolutionized the gaming world.
#1 Star Control 2 - I never really played SC2 until afew years ago, but I dont think there was an adventure space game that had so much content.
#2 Half life - It pretty much changed FPS's forever. Controls included, Every fps for computer now I think has quick swich as Q and use as E
#3 Warcraft: Orcs vs Humans - I think this was the first RTS game to come out. It is pretty much the creation of the RTS genre.
#4 Zelda Ocarina of Time - One of the first actual 3D games to come out, awesome music, awesomer game play, and even more awesometastic storyline. That game is a shit ton of awesome.
#5 World of Warcraft - Now dont get me wrong, I dont play this game, but there is no doubt that it is the biggest game being played right now. It pretty much was Blizzard walking into the MMORPG genre then beating the fuck out of every other competitor.

No no no no. Warcraft is nice. But as an RTS, Dune II precedes it with a lot. And Dune II isn't the first RTS around either. Check this link for information on Dune II and links to other old RTS's.

Speaking of which, I did get System Shock 2 working (and beaten) luki, and yeah, that game is durn scary but it's awesome! Its like a strange hybrid between an RPG and an FPS, I would have voted for it but I only played through it once as opposed to WingCommander 3 which I beat 6 times....

Once you enter WOW, there's no getting out. It's even worse then drugs, rap music and comic books mixed into one....
