The links are broken
« on: December 02, 2009, 08:09:47 am »
Every link included in a post is broken, they all point to adresses like
Code: [Select]
http://http//www....Addresses are easily fixed if you really need to follow them, and it's probably a simple issue with the way the forum handles pseudo-html, but still it's bothersome.

Here's a test (should point to PNF home's page) :

http://www.star-control.com/

And another NOT including "http" in the link's source :
www.star-control.com

When I quote your post, both those links have ['url=http://www.star-control.com]www.star-control.com['/url],but that might be the board software trying to be helpful. It's stupid like that. If I try making a link myself, such as this site, or Youtube, then what happens?

EDIT: Interesting. We just upgraded the board software, I wonder if that screwed things up. I'll alert the admins, thanks for letting us know!

It's a bug in the SMF forum software.  I applied a fix.  I hope it works out for all cases.  Thanks for posting about this and letting us know.

Thanks for the quick fix ! A bug in SMF consecutive to an update indeed seemed the most logical explanation.

I had noticed a bit later that it was disabling embedded images too, but now everything seems back in order.
