@Angelfish: I also see this as overmoderation, but I think Luki is motivated by his whole (good) community building thing. I like to think he wishes it wasn't necessary.
Fear not the Arch Viles and Spectres of the Deepest Reaches, for the X is strong in this place.

In my next life I would like to be a pootworm. ANNIGILATE ME!

This picture shows what REAL conflict is...

Please tell me if you ever find any reason on why you posted that completely unnecessary off-topic Picture.

Anyways, Batting for Nuclear, I really think that he is just a ordinary poster. Compared to other forums such as Newgrounds and slightly smaller ones for example http://hamumu.com/forum/ where you can get a reply every 30 seconds-a minute; he doesn't post too much. The problem is that there isn't enough posts to drown out his potential asshole-ness.
Everyone Thinks I'm crazy.
I'd like to keep the term
"Mentally Unstable".

Well that's an easy one.

My vision of what is and isn't allowed in discusion is more loose than Lukipela's, and here it has led to another conflict.
Well, first off I don't really consider this a conflict.
This picture shows what REAL conflict is...

Good joke. Everybody laugh. Roll on snare drum. Curtains. Fade to black.

The problem is that there isn't enough posts to drown out his potential asshole-ness.

Signal to noise ratio. This was mentioned by Eth earlier in this very thread.

But are you seriously suggesting that we have to adapt our posting habits to whatever flow is established by a vocal minority? Or am I simply reading too far into that?

Speaking of reading, I have another post to make...

I just think that its awesome that were having a discussion about Nuclear having an asshole post ratio. Really I dont mind Nuclear one bit. Im on this forum all the time and nothing is going on, its nice to have long banters of drenching things with butter!   :D

Its his job to moderate the forum. Not to let it turn into a flame war. Luki's been here for almost 7 years now or something like that. So im sure he knows when a flame war is going to ensue. And when that happens he has to do his job. Im sure he'd much rather let a thread crash and burn but he has to do what he has to do.

And that's all I got to say about that.

I don't really agree that Nuclear is anything resembling an asshole. Seriously, most of the violations of these board rules don't require that kind of name-calling. For my part, when he was being bad early on, I knocked his karma down. Since he's been showing improvement more recently, I've been occasionally boosting his karma back up. Meaningful? Probably not. Funny? Officially, yes no. Fortunately it appears that moderation has (seemed to) work here to some extents, so if all goes well we won't have another jaychant fiasco on our hands.

And moderation has been pretty lenient of late, all considered. This is currently acceptable to me. Though that may be because I don't contribute to thread derailments all that often. :)

I would say that I've adapted to this forum by now, I learned about all that proper spelling and grammar stuff and the proper usage of role-playing and the posting only to properly acknowledge and not for the sake of posting (although I admit that It's kind of hard to tell between the 2....) Also with the addition of this fancy new net book, nobody really has to worry about little dinky posts! (And if I do post a little dinky post, I get beaten with the mod stick twice as hard as I did on my PSP! What fun.....)

luki's the parent and Nuclear is his retarded kid. Now Nuclear wants to stick a key in an electrical socket, now Luki would love to sit in a corner and drink because he cant continue ABKS (or because he fathered Nuke) and just see Nuke stick that key in the electrical socket, but Its Luki's job as the parent to keep him in line. So he beats Nuclear and we all live happily ever after.
I couldn't have said it better myself ;)

Now the common traits of an asshole is one who is (a)
1. Mean, you enjoy being offensive to your fellow sentients. This could possibly be one contributing factor to the degrading of society as we know it
2. Braggart, If I recall correctly, it's an individual who brags to much. While its ok to boast a bit about your skills and social life, you can't just go overboard... (see buthead)
3. Dumb, one who is socially unintellectual will commonly say things that others find repulsive. Simply put, they can't tell wrong from right. (Also see retard)

And so concludes Nuclear's guide to ass hole philosophy.....

Lever2: No! I want too!
Lever3: Stop whining you two!
Button: Hey Lever 3, can we switch jobs? I'm getting bored of pushing the button....
Lever3: Sweet!
Lever1/2: awww no fair!

All right, let's knock it off with the name-calling, okay?  Nuclear isn't here to be the forum's punching bag.
