Groombridge Log - Prologue
« on: August 24, 2009, 09:47:15 am »
Hey guys.

We've been talking about comics a lot. Now there is one one the site. An actual honest to God comic about Star Control. Right here on the Pages of Now and Forever. Rather than being all wordy, I'm just going to link it. If you enjoy it, check out Tiberian's project thread over in the Mods section and let him know you appreciate the time and effort he has put into making this. And ask him to hurry up with the next chapter. I don't know about you, but I could read a lot more of that!

Edit: Whoops, no the in the title.

There is no "The" in the name.

Don't worry, I forgive you.

Nice work, Tiberian.  I'm eager to see what direction you take it in.  There's a lot of exposition in that there prologue.   :)

About titles, the <title> of the page hosting the comic should be something other than ``Star Control - About The Pages of Now and Forever".
Fear not the Arch Viles and Spectres of the Deepest Reaches, for the X is strong in this place.

Ooh, good catch. Once I'm back in my drab hotel room I'll get cracking on that.

... Why?

It must be a reference to the Fallout game series :). In Fallout 1 and 2 the player starts out in vault 13, which is actually a nuclear shelter.
What would you give to know the truth?

The player starts from Vault 13 only in Fallout 1. In Fallout 2 the main objective is to locate Vault 13.

But indeed it is a reference.

update:

Chapter one is now on my drawing table. If I don't make any major changes to the script, this chapter will be 13 pages again, not including the cover.
