Whenever I see a drunken posting, I wonder if it's really a drunken posting, or if it's just pretending to be for comic effect.

What if it's both? That would really mess with my head.

Anyway, I'm glad it went well, and good luck with your hangover tomorrow morning.

Not much comic effect in that first message in my opinion. I was (apparently) writing it on a phone in the middle of the night. Can't even remember writing it, which makes me feel less than proud.

Hangover wasn't too bad, but my entire body was in a lot of pain otherwise. T'was a rough day.

Anyway, to give this thread a semblance of meaning, let's talk about Bachelor parites. Since most of us are slightly above our twenties, I assume many of us have participated in these things. The one I organized was pretty fun. Since the groom is a pretty competitive person, we arranged an "Amazing Race" type thing where we competed in all sorts of physical and mental challenges all through the day. After the winner was finally declared, we barbecued and drank a bit.

Strangely enough, I've never been to a bachelor party. Most of my male friends aren't the marrying type, at the moment at least, and the rest of them seem to get married overseas. Arseholes.

Surely someone else has attended one or two. I need tales of strippers and drunken misadventures!

Drunken misadventures I can provide, strippers not so much. I always thought that was just some kind of american movie stereotype...

Bachelor parties are fun you drink, then you drink abit more, then when your in a drunken stupor you have an adventure.
And that's all I got to say about that.

Stereotypes have to come from somewhere... And quite a lot of stupid people seem to think strippers are a great idea for a bachelor party in the US. Suffice to say I disagree. Then again, I don't even DRINK, so I have tales of neither strippers nor drunken misadventures to share from the small number of bachelor parties I've attended.

In all fairness, you do see stuff like that around here. Just not at the ones I attend. Most of my uni friends are marrying people who I know and respect, and setting up strippers would just be wrong and slightly tacky. We've had adventure days instead, doing cool stuff and then renting a cottage to barbecue at and drink in when night comes. Everything from sailing and climbing gigantic ladders to playing amateur golf and blind navigation. The kind of stuff where everyone has fun.

My 'bachelor party' was playing board games with the two of the groomsmen who didn't live close.

When one of them got married, it was playing card and board games, including a naughty card and board game about tentacle monsters.
We did. You did. Yes we can. No.
