The Flash game thread
« on: June 05, 2009, 09:29:54 am »
So every so often I have a minute to waste on the internet. Fortunately, there are plenty of flash games out there to amuse me whenever I need a break from doing serious stuff. Unfortunately, a lot of them are crap. So I figured we could have a thread where we share flash games we like and tell each other what they are about. I'll start off with two games and then eagerly wait for someone else to contribute.

Robot Dinosaurs that shoot beams when they roar

This is a pretty awesome side scroller, which delivers exactly what it promises. Unfortunately there's just one level.

Hero's arms

This on the other hand is much much longer. Fortunately you can save in it. It's a pretty clear cut clone of the old Zelda games, but if you like bashing monsters and solving really simple puzzles it's for you.
Round and round it goes, where it stops nobody knows

That is messed up, Dabir. Pretty cool, though.

Lost Vectors has some pretty cool flash games. Bowmaster is good for a few hours of fun. The site owner is supposedly working on a sequel, and he's put out a couple of alpha versions of it.

Dinorun is just about the most awesome side scrolling game I've ever seen. I highly recommend it.

This was pretty cool, thanks for that! Unfortunately the rest of his games feel like a bit of a let down after that...

Yeah, I've played that before. Pretty good for raising adrenaline, doomsurfing is seriously scary.

The various Grow games are a lot of fun. I'd recommend them to anyone.

Hehe, those were pretty cute. I didn't actually realise that you could "win" them until I played the RPG one though.

This game isn't particularly exciting, but it is very unique.  Only 1-dimensional game I've ever seen.

I had so much fun with this one.   ;D
How is it that I can beat the Sa-Matra with one Fury, but I can't beat a Marauder with an Avatar?

Time Fcuk - A brainmelting puzzle platformer with an interesting "story"

Toss the Turtle - Another throw/shoot creature X game. But with a bunch of cool upgrades and tactical aids thrown in. Very addictive.

T-Rox was a pretty great idea. And I managed to shoot the hedgehog into space, which was fun. Glad to see the thread is going places.

Toss the turtle was fun as hell! I wish the further he went the worse he looked though.

a hint for the turtle game: shooting up is MUCH better than shooting forward
