"The first three posters allocate three points each" means that there are a total of six points to be allocated.

What number system is this in? :P

The kind where the poster forgets to rotate his plus sign 45 degrees either way to make the times sign.  Hey, at least he fixed it ;).

Alternatively, a base 13 or higher system where additional numbers have been inserted between 3 and 6 so that 6 = 9.

Or, you know. Could just be a typo.

Yup, but now it's not gonna move before I return from visiting my parents, next thursday or so. Maybe by then the spoilers will be fixed. I'm just adding them now so that I don't have to go back and redo them.

For those of you who hate walls of text, I apologize. I couldn't figure out how to space it better though, so please be patient. Spoilers broke when we upgraded (still trying to smash the "Mark as Read" bug, Scott is working on restoring them. The old package doesn't work with the new version or some such.

Not all human names can be exciting and foreign sounding.

Excellent

One should have been named Pedro and the other Jerome. Would have been priceless.

Alen: Use of the names 'Bill' and 'Ted' as partners or friends typically indicates a pop culture reference.

While I have not seen said pop culture reference personally, I've run into it in a variety of places.

Fossaman: Well I guess they didn't really have a very excellent adventure here now did they.

If you don't get yourself killed real soon now, you might ask him where he got his name. But meeting him has put another chain in action, which might turn out pretty deadly.

Has someone been re-watching 2001 recently? Or possibly Moon?

Er, not really. I don't even know what Moon is. 2001 was a crappy movie, but I loved the book.

EDIT: current count

Lazors straight off: Dragon, Draxas
Fire all the way: Rider, Eth.
Try talking first: Bleeding Star, alen

That's remarkably even (and a remarkable amount of participants, thanks all!). I guess I'll just go with one of the above.
