What do I look like, a medic? Anyhow, game resumes tomorrow or the day after, I'm getting comfortably settled in.

Awesome.
And that's all I got to say about that.

So, I'm all kind of confused, I can't be arsed going back through all forty thousand pages of the game thread to doublecheck on some of this stuff. If other people involved could give their opinions on what the heck is going on then I'd much appreciate it. With references from the thread if appropriate, though speculations are also fine.

As far as I can tell, we're on an Androsynth colony (or the home world?), which is in the process of being invaded by the Orz, or an orz-like entity. Seeing as we've attracted "their" attention already, the Arilou have taken the gloves off and decided to eliminate us (whether to prevent a galactic catastrophe, or just cause they're shits, I don't know). Is this more-or-less what other people have concluded, or am I way off base?

That sounds fairly accurate. However, there is an additional aspect to this, what with our avatar speaking with the dead and shifting dimensions. I think only Luki knows where that particular plot thread is going, though.

Feel free to theorize as much as you like in this thread. If youcan't rememebr some old detail, I might be able to dig it out for you as well. as to Bleeding Star's questions, one of them is already answered in the adventure, if you're willing to use some OT knowledge.

Going back to visit the old country tomorrow after work. Next update either during the weekend, or Monday evening.

Fun trivia, this was written on Arlanda Airport in Stockholm, Terminal 5 at a small bar. Thank god for mobile phones. I enjoyed writing this part more than I generally do. In part because we're entering virgin territory again, with loads of different directions to take.

I suppose it couldn't hurt to follow Ted's advice and check out the city. If the wildlife is willing to stick around, it shouldn't be THAT dangerous... hopefully.

While we're at it, I notice that our backpack is now full. It also seems like some of our food has spoiled, so it's time to lighten the load a bit; no sense in keeping around trash. Also, is there anything useful that we can salvage from those droid parts? We've been on the road for a couple of days, surely we've had time to figure that out. I'm not sure how bulky they are, but if they're taking up a lot of room and won't be useful, we may as well dump those too.

Well, since I'm trying to keep this from turning into just a story, Wilf doesn't actually do stuff like that until someone comes up with the idea. So no, she has been strangely incurious about those metal parts. Also, those vegetables are disgusting, not rotten. That's what they taste like. they'll keep for another week or two.

Just a heads up. I got the keys to my flat today, and tomorrow I'm hitting IKEA. So I'll be pretty busy for the next few days. Also, as I now have a flat I'll be moving out of the hotel at the end of this week. This means no more hotel internet. And apparently, the glorious democracy of Sweden is loath to grant anyone the right to have a internet connection unless they are citizens. So unless some loophole turns up I might be out of contact for a while.

???

Fucking socialists.  Here in America, it's cash on the barrel-head gets you internet.  Unless you can find free wi-fi somewhere, of course!  ;)

ABKS is put on hold until such time that I regain an internet connection. I'm sorry to have to cut this short since I've been having a lot of fun with this But for now, the game is frozen. I'm locking the threads and will reopen them when the game continues.
