I'm really more of a shoot first guy - I only anticipate giving the AI a few seconds to let go of Ted (15-20 tops) after the verbal warning before opening fire.

I don't even know what Moon is.

Moon is an awesome sci-fi movie, that should be in theatres now (even in Finland!). It includes several thematic elements relevant to the current situation in ABKS.

Well since the computer is AI it would be possible to reason with it.
And that's all I got to say about that.

Cool, thanks for the heads up! I'l have plenty of time to waste soon, so this'll fit right in.

While I don't often show you game mechanics, I figured I'd do so this time. Just in case you feel the adventure is progressing without your choices affecting very much, here's two ways it could have changed (without you getting killed) had you chosen differently.

1. The creature encounter. Had you used your rifle instead of fire on the aliens, the outcome would have been very different. You'd (probably) still have survived, but it's not impossible that you'd have been unable to return to the station. In that case your continued adventure would have taken place in creatureland (wherever can that be?).

2. Talking to the droid or shooting/flaming it. Attempting to reason with the droid would have meant that Ted wouldn't have been joining you on your escape. Flaming it would have meant him sustaining a few more injuries.

In addition to that, you could have been killed a few times lately, but you've avoided that well.

It's interesting information - good to see our choices matter and you're not just making shit up (well, you're making it up in advance, anyhow).

2001 was a crappy movie, but I loved the book.
That is so, so wrong!   :-X

I thought that 2001 was a creative movie/book. very innovative for its time.
And that's all I got to say about that.

Just a note for you guys. When you say things like "give first aid with our meager supplies" or "make a splint", I'd appreciate it if you were a bit more specific. We've got several of items that can be used for first aid, which ones do you want to use? what do you want to make a splint out of? Details like that.

I've made loads of shit up, but you only get to see parts of it. In part that's fun, in part a bit depressing since we've left a lot of stuff behind already. The sewer in Prime for example.

Ah Luki we can just do ABKS episode 2 where we instead take the sewer what a smelly and fun endeavor that would be.

I suppose that you could make a splint out of the spears from the dead creatures and tie it with cord from the repair droid. (something along those lines.)
And that's all I got to say about that.

Going on a business trip tomorrow, a wedding on Saturday and moving to a different country on Sunday. might be an update on Thursday or Friday, but probably not until Monday or Tuesday.

Sounds like a ball. What country are you moving to?

It's very difficult for us to judge things like the sizes and thicknesses of parts of various objects mentioned in passing, to judge whether they are suitable for making a splint.  Just roll with it, Luki.

Yeah, but when you have several items of healing (dagger, bandages, clothes that can be torn, whiskey to numb pain and so on) it'd be nice to get some idea of how much you want to spend on this task. For the splint, I don't even know how to make one so I can't make that up  :P

You can't make a splint?  That's like, really basic first aid.  You just need two straight sticks and some bandages/rags to wrap around the arm.  Google it, fer Chrissakes!
