the name of my Androsynth captain, ASB-623, has a meaning.

ASB = a_stupid_box

623 = month and day I was born (June 23rd).

HAL-2001 is of course from the movie 2001:  A Space Odessey.  It was the designation of the psychotic computer.  It's also an actual pilot name in SC 1&2.

I sorta figured the ASB part, and when is your next post... or should I extend the story some more...

Remember that you have 3 species in that region of space (orz, 'synth an earhtling) so you have the mayority of active species so far.

Go ahead and post, I'm waiting for the story to open up a bit before I post again (either opened up a bit by you or another poster).

As for the Orz, I'm intending to leave them out of direct control.  Manipulate them how you see fit in your posts, as long as you don't just write something like "they go home and eat some pie".  They're there to be an antagonist to whomever and just keep things interesting.  Same with the humans, basicly.  I just had to get them into the sector.  Feel free to do with them as you choose as long as, again, nothing too drastic happens.

I don't intend to fully control a second race (or even a second captain) in this thread.  It might happen if the story warrants, but I'm not counting on that.  Hell, I didn't even plan to bring in the Orz, but couldn't justify a single Androsynth Guardian taking out six alien ships (in other words I wrote myself into a corner and just found a fun way out).  I figured that the Humans, being naturally nosey, would follow -- with their *older brothers* the Arilou popping in now and then.

Rider -- I fixed one of your posts.  The Androsynth do, indeed, have reproductive organs, they're just sterile.

BTW, your guys seemed to have retreived a captain!  Congrats!  As for him being on the toilet... I think they may have mistaken the command chair for a waste facility.  Honest cross-culture mistake, I think its funny

hmm i got a idea.. when this story is completed, ill transform it to a Html file (as a story) and upload it somewhere... maybe ill do that with all stories posted here... hmm....

btw, im going to post in this story when i get home.. so.. prepare ....
i didnt read the story 100% yet.. so im asking.. do the orz fit in it?

Well, read the story.  They do fit in, but please don't try to do a thread-crossover with Dark Memories.  Threads get all messed up when you do that.

You just start posting. But, and here's what some people do wrong: READ THE ENTIRE THREAD FIRST! I knew a guy (actually we all do) wich thought it was OK to post something and then later on see how that could fit in the story... wich is basically doing things the wrong way.

You know. If the current Undiscovered War thread is locked I'll unlock it for your pleasure.
