Sorry not to stick with the group, Eth, and cause more "meanwhile" posting. While Ukyo is something of a socialite, he prefers to fight alone.
Yes, I did research a bit on the Death Guard squad. Nothing too extensive, just a wikipedia reference. Ukyo's character was associated with a perpetual T bout shortly after the time I selected him, so he's assumedly resilient to sickness even though he was henceforth recognized as being "afflicted". Getting blown up, incinerated, flushed out of an airlock, chopped to bits, or choking on a chicken bone may do him in -- but as far as plagues and pox (among other various infections, afflictions, and diseases) he doesn't seem to suffer.
However, he will likely be unable to overcome his sickness via his own immune system; if a normal person wouldn't be able to kick it (regardless of the reason being the ailment's lethality or resiliency) he is assumed to remain infected. Yes, he can reject a cold or flu... but he will be a perpetual carrier of something such as smallpox or ebola until such time as medicine or magic can be applied to remove the foreign agent. I wouldn't credit him wih any spectacular constitution, just being immune to ailment effects.
I have no intention of coming across mortarion. Ukyo is certainly not in the business of hunting mosters unless they come to attack innocent people and would have gladly stayed to help with Thor's buddy if he didn't think the group (Huck) may be overcome by the captain's feared plague carriers due to the delay. Yes, Ukyo is a noble samurai -- but his calling is the perfection of his swordplay, not "pointless" slaughter and hunting trips.
