Although I doubt this will do much good, is anyone here any good with DVD's? I recently got o DVD recorder for my birthday (LG DR5700), and was overjoyed. It works like a dream, except for one thing. When viewing a movie, or regular television channels through the DVD, there is a slight colouring issue. Namely, the parts of the top and bottom of the screen (that are normally black), seems to be "leaking" They'll (partly) take on the shades that are present i nthe movie (i.e in a deserts scene, they'll go a yellowy. in the jungle they'll go green. The brighter the video footage, the stronger the discolouration). This, while not a big issue is more than slightly annoying when watching a movie.
I've checked the cable, and replaced them with old spares to make sure they aren't broken. And they are correctly connected (the picture works fine otherwise). There is nowhere in the setup or manual that this is mentioned, and I can't seem to find any mention of it on the part of the internet I've scoured. So while I keep looking, if anyone has encountered this before, please let me know.
EDIT: Dammit, with our small bedroom TV there is no problem It seems it's the big television that doesn't work properly. Strange though, it used to work just fine with a older DVD player. So now i have achoice of watching movies where the letterbox pulsates, or watching them on a miniscule television.
