A hint of things to come...

Ahh, vague omens and mysterious portents. Tangled webs of fate intertwined with the branches of destiny, blown by the capricious winds of happenstance. News, news....uh, actually there is some news!

Indeed, this is truly a cliff hanger style event. The tension is almost murderous...

Lukipela, what prompted that note from PR3? Did you email him about something? Or does he regularly pop round to your house for tea and scones.

I emailed him regarding some unrelated issues. Most of the email can't really be posted since it contains some sensitive (to me at least) stuff, but I got permission to snip and post that part.

Not that he doesn't pop around every now and then otherwise of course, he loves my biscuits.

 Wow, I check this site every now and then and after Star Control played Freelancer and now find myself without any new releases I like. Wouldn't StarControl 4 or something like that be nice?

This ultronomicon page has a link to a 1998 chat with TFB, at the gamespy site. Do we still have that somewhere?*

Also, TFB still haven't updated their link to PNF . . .

*EDIT: Never mind, meep had a copy. Thanks meep!

We have a copy as well, I'll get it up eventually.

I shall have to have a serious discussion about this with Paul next week during our squash game.

I just emailed Alex Ness to ask why we haven't heard anything yet. Here's what he said:
Alex Ness wrote:Yes, you would be right that our game should have been announced by now however, something pretty crazy happened. We actually got more time to work on it. This is a rare and precious thing indeed. Usually you get less time, not more, because publishers know games often end up being late anyways. But in this case, Activision felt like our title was worth putting some extra love into and that's a beautiful thing. I believe we will now be shipping next year. When exactly, I don't know.
Pretty good news, if you're into delayed gratification!

I'm just wonder, if there does happen to be a new StarControl game, how will PNF be affected? Will our ranks swell with a bunch of uninformed but enthusiastic new StarControl fans? Will our tiny social community turn into a bustling megalopolis of new recruits? {Possibly bringing up old questions that no-one feels like re answering ;)-smf }. I guess that all has to do with how popular the game is.
