Eternal Doctrine part II

Post by Tiberian » Mon Aug 17, 2015 3:31 pm

After a productive July, the second part of Eternal Doctrine is ready. This part contains chapters 7-12. You can get the PDF from here:

http://koti.mbnet.fi/tibe9mm/Eternal_Do ... art_II.pdf

For those who are not familiar with the subject:
Eternal Doctrine is a direct sequel to Groombridge Log. Together these books give rebirth to the story of Star Control 2 as a novel. In case you have missed the subject entirely, the first novel, Groombridge Log, can be purchased from most online bookstores, including Amazon, both as an e-book and a printed copy. The PDF can also be found free of charge at http://www.star-control.com/hosted/Groo ... ge_Log.pdf

As said earlier, Eternal Doctrine starts off exactly where Groombridge Log ended. The first six chapters of Eternal Doctrine can be found at http://www.star-control.com/hosted/Eter ... part_I.pdf

And since topics without an image are boring, here's one:

Isn't that from the prologue of the graphic novel we used to do? Good old memories :)!

I bought a little while ago the physical book of GL and I'm waiting for it to be shipped :D!

If you are referring to the burrowing plants at Alpha Pavonis, the answer is no. They have no reference to the in-game bios. Of course, there's not much known about the in-game bios, so maybe we could imagine that one of them is that plant.

They could be Roto-Dendrons.

At least Rigby is fascinated by the life-forms, so they probably want to study the plants themselves at first. I'm sure Dr. Chu and his pals are also interested.

Also, maybe the plants have a future role in the story.

(Good observation though, I did think about selling them.)

I metioned it because there isn't much mining in the story so they wont have many oppurtunities to sell bios
