Did Fwiffo ever really think he was in charge?

Well he wouldn't tell you if he did ;)-smf In-game he pretends to be anything but a shadow governor, as you'd expect. Oh how I was fooled by his whole ``lonely and frightened" spiel . . .

This entire thread is full doors that open to another door that leads to another door but then loops around and leaves you back right where you started.

Speaking of which, I wonder if spathis just have houses full of decoy doors. Oh great now you all have me doing it.

Plus they probably have holographic decoy spathi running into them. What a waste.

There are lots of reasons here why Spathi society can't work, but they're intelligent enough to have gone from bronze to atomic in less than a century. I think these two things must go together: paranoia would prevent their society from functioning if they weren't brilliant, and their brilliance would propel their civilisation to great heights if they weren't so paranoid.

Maybe the primeval Spathi were brilliant and not paranoid. Something introduced the Evil Ones to Spathiwa, fearing the juggernaut they would become, and only the paranoid survived. If that was the motive it seems too serious for the Umgah.

Who says the Umgah don't have actual goals? I suspect they'd look at it as an absolutely hilarious joke, with the added benefit of preventing the victims from ruining a whole lot of other great jokes with Precursor-level battleships.

The Umgah have plenty of goals. Just none that make sense to us I think.
