Star Control ships

Post by dczanik » Sat Jul 09, 2011 4:45 pm

Hey guys.

I came across a website in my Googlin' that had some Star Control ships.
http://www.bwafer.com/starwars/ships.htm

Anybody know the author(s) of these ships or how I can contact the owner? Some of these are really neat. I'd hate to have these ships lost to time. I think these are from the Timewarp game.

Tsing and Mangoman (or whatever his name was) have made some of those ships :P.

Considering the Syreen render has PabloLuna's name right on it, I think it's safe to say some of those are his as well.

Well, I just posted that because I had not seen it before. Like I said, I only think some of these are really neat. Sadly a lot of these have not stood the test of time. The rapid growth of 3D makes some of these look really dated. That includes a lot of the models on http://www.star-control.com/hosted/sc3d/ Not that they weren't amazing at the time :)

I'm really interested in the CHMMR, Supox, Thraddash, and Melnorme ships really. The others I've seen before or not really that big of a loss.

I know the CHMMR is Tsing's ship, but I don't know how to contact Tsing (or if he still has this file).

Yehat, Shofixti, Melnorme, Kohr-Ah and Ilwrath look the coolest. I really don't know who the authors are though.

I think the Syreen, Shofixti, and Ilwrath are the same author, though.
