Stardock CEO threatens to "eliminate" this community

So, remember when Brad said:

I'm not a lawyer so I am not going to make speculate on things like the Ur-Quan Masters other than to say Stardock is glad it exists andis supportive of that effort and will never take any action to interfere with it.
Well, apparently his position in Stardock's private forums, is:

Obviously, this is very troubling. Before making this threat, he tried to trick the UQM administrator into signing away their rights and conceding to Stardock's authority, and I'm concerned that he might try or have tried the same thing here.

Well then. Let's hope we don't end up discorporated.

Suffice to say, if there were any chance I'd buy Origins before, there isn't now. Shame, Stardock, shame.

Keep in mind please, that that chat protocol has been sent anonymously to the UQM admins, and its content cannot be verified.

But it is indeed another reason to rethink matters.

Pity, because of all of this it's the first time I'm watching "Let's play..." videos on youtube.
Annoyed that I am getting spoilered for the story, but that way I can form an opinion about the storyline...

the gameplay though does convince me, it's close to what I've been hoping for.
Pity of the storyelements of the story I've seen so far (episode 3of Marbozir's version).
But that's a discussion for somewhere else....

Yeah, I'm inclined to disbelieve the authenticity of that quote. It sounds like something a cartoon supervillain would say, rather than a real person.

Based on the reactions from Stardock supporters with access to that Discord channel, I believe it is authentic. If it was fake, they''d be saying so. Loudly.

It's more than obvious Brad harbors resentment toward many members of the forums but I doubt his voice animations were more than just angry venting.

Then again, I really don't know. I've spent a considerable number of hours looking into everything and trying to figure out what's what but I'm just uncovering more layers instead of making anything clearer.

....theres about 20 other facets of this topic I could get into right now but I don't have the energy. Looks like there's some discussion on the other forum though.

Here's what he said about that:
With regards to my *private* venting regarding some of the extremely toxic and hate-filled posts that have been directed at me *personally* from this forum. It is true that on occasion I have vented that this forum (not the project but the forum) should be shut down. However, each time, Death999 has demonstrated an even-handed moderation to remove the more excessive of the hate from some of the new (all new as of this year) posters that have entered the community. This doesn't make it okay to even entertain such opinions. But I don't claim to be anything but flawed human being either. This project has been very difficult given the controversy and abuse that has often been directed at me personally. But I would like to think that most of you understand the difference between being angry versus acting on that anger.
So he's not denying that he said it, but saying that he wasn't right to say it. Also, yay me, apparently.

You DID censor out some of less civil posts, as far as I remember.
In any case, he can't **demand** transfer of the domain, it's on first-to-grab basis. (In worst case it can go back to being a porn site...)
Neither can they file suits, as forums are not a monetary venture so are fair use, regardless of stated opinions.

EDIT
Weird, but there is no image I could find of someone putting a file (as in tool) to a suit (an attire)
To be angry is to punish yourself for the errors of others.

There is a void in the internet.... we must fill it.
