Re: Contest time Hunams of the world!
Sorry all I know I've dropped the ball getting this Contest going, been super busy, got a new job, got married and I am literally leaving on my honeymoon in a few hours.
So .. just briefly, ill touch on some details.
I'll run the contest till say end of September give everyone lots of time to get their submissions in.
I will use the term loosely, this will be an Art contest, i use the term very broadly, music can be art, comics etc..
The Prize is a sealed copy of "Groombridge Log"

I will follow up on my return =D

Have fun during your honeymoon! Remember, marriage is a trap invented by an evil umgah prankster.
I'll expect the contest to start somewhere before christmas.

I wonder if I should submit something to get the prize.

I like that we're a fandom of mostly older dudes with marital events/problems going on, and not a bunch of virginal nerds with too much time on our hands... don't quote me on this though. Have fun Scotty. I ate too many eggs today and now I feel a bit sick

It's hard fact to admit...but your right! We are a bunch of older dudes surfing the web with older dudes considerations.Nuclear wrote:I like that we're a fandom of mostly older dudes with marital events/problems going on, and not a bunch of virginal nerds with too much time on our hands... don't quote me on this though. It's a refreshing change from the brainless banter you see on... say, the league of legends forum. More mature games obviously have a more mature fanbase.
I wonder what JayChant is doing nowadays, lol.

I vaguely recall that name...Maybe from my first stint here...
If I recall, he was a bit trollish right?
Also, I play League of Legend and it is THE most terrible community ever. There are a few outliers (Like me), but most of the time the in game and out game attitude is just terrible! I only play with friends now.

I barely play games anymore and I don't feel like re-learning. Plus, since I only play with friends, I'm never with the obnoxious crowd.
I mostly watch the competitive scene tho and I have an agreement with my girlfriend that I can play all night long with my friends on Wednesday.
I used to play DOTA when it was hosted in Warcraft 3 tho.
