Maybe not best, but it's pretty darn good.Fossaman wrote:I think I'm having roast chicken for dinner tonight too. I expect it to be delicious.
Oh, and am I the only one who thinks the skin is the best part of a roast chicken? Show of hands if you agree.

Love the skin.

Irish bangers are by far the most delicious thing I have ever eaten. I wish I knew how to make them.
I was here.

That little bit of dark skin around the ankles is the best :d

Why is lamb traditional for easter? Is it a religion thing or something more mundane?Lukipela wrote:It being Easter, I had lamb yesterday....
Courgette tastes far more like snot than cucumber. Not far off snozcumbers, to be honest.Dabir wrote:Hate courgette, it's like cucumber, only tastes less like snot and feels like it's decayed in the cooking.
I had roast duck for easter and I've got to say, the skin on that was out of this world. A billion times betterer than chicken skin. Not much meat though, and very fatty.Fossaman wrote: Oh, and am I the only one who thinks the skin is the best part of a roast chicken? Show of hands if you agree.

The courgettes I've had all tasted of water, possibly because they were roasted to a fine pulp. Cucumber, on the other hand, always leaves a horrible aftertaste.

The Jews used to sacrifice a lamb at Passover. Then Jesus died on the cross for our sins like the metaphorical lamb for all of humanity, doing away with the need for animal sacrifice. I assume that the guys breeding lambs specifically for Passover had to find a new outlet for their merchandise. Or we celebrate the proverbial lambby eating an actual lamb.Bleeding Star wrote: Why is lamb traditional for easter? Is it a religion thing or something more mundane?
You should ask me why we eat eggs for Christmas though, that's quite interesting as well.
Philistines. I wish we hadn't done away with stoning. In some instances it is quite appropriate.Bleeding Star wrote:Courgette tastes far more like snot than cucumber. EDIT: Also, welcome to the new forum.

This depends where you're from anyway. For example in southern europe vegetables are allowed to look bad but they taste incredible. unfortunately, where i'm from the food just has to look good. taste is secondary.Dabir wrote:The courgettes I've had all tasted of water, possibly because they were roasted to a fine pulp.
