Walking to lunch from the office I snapped this piccy. It's a Springbok (they're kinda like the rats of the Savannah). And contrary to marketing it's not always sunny down here.

Here is a picture I took on June 29th 2009.

It looks like a special effect but the sky was really looking like that that day.

Where do you live, hell? That's a scary sky. You could clear this up by telling us where you live ;)

Also, here's my cactus at work, photo taken 2010-11-11

I am in New York City. IIRC, the weather was VERY interesting that day.

Yeah I thought so too. I thought it looked like something out of Ghostbusters.

...and yes I did pick the scariest looking one of the pictures I have of that day. :)

Here's a less ominious one. :)

Fossilized flying rat tracks... um.... pigeon tracks on concrete sidewalk... :) Yeah sidewalks in NYC are disgusting.

Ugh, are they ever. A disproportionate number smell like pee, too. :(-smf

And pigeons are flying mice. Flying rats are seagulls. :P-smf

Well they're not bad but the little bastards can move. It's easier to stick to cow ;)

That said, there was a (Chinese) telecoms company in the office building next to ours and they used to bus their employees in and out each day (lots of employees - like 5 buses worth). Then after a while they found it easier to just leave employees there over night but neglected to feed them... so they started hunting the game. After park management realised the game was disappearing they kicked them out.

Again, you just can't make this stuff up :|
