Shera perks up at the entrance of the Thraddash ambassador, and once he is finished "greeting" the assembled diplomats, she takes the opportunity to speak.

"Such lovely manners," she opines sarcastically, but then shifts away from humor once more, "But nonetheless, I sympathize with your plight, as the Syreen were forced to wander space in a search for a new home in a similar fashion for far too long. We would like to help you search for a world to call home, but we would need to know what sort of conditions are needed to make a world habitable for your race. Also, since I presume you are looking for a new world as close to your homeworld as possible, our exploratory surveys have charted areas quite distant from that region of space, and we cannot help with that local area. While I would normally advise you to consult with your nearest neighbors, history has shown that asking the Umgah for almost anything is usually a terrible idea. Your best bets would be with either the Ur-Quan, whose survey teams helped find us a new home, or with the Humans, as the Vindicator has thoroughly charted and scanned a myriad of worlds across this entire sector of space."

"As for the other matters we were discussing," she says, turning toward the CHMMR and Supox ambassadors, "I again feel like this is probably not the time nor place for the kind of administrative discussions that have dominated the floor recently. We can overthink and overanalyze how best to establish governance of the New Alliance when there are less critical matters on the table, which quite frankly, I feel the issue of VUX raiders qualifies as."

"Especially in light of these raids occurring in multiple areas simultaneously, I would very much like to ask what the intentions of the VUX are, but they have not bothered to send any representatives here to this council. In our own experience, it would seem that raids against neighbors of the VUX are at least ignored, if not actually encouraged, by the government. However, I find it curious that they are striking against the Zoq-Fot-Pik, but we have seen no sign of raiders in Syreen space, though perhaps they feel as if we are no longer easy targets now that we have no need to keep a habitation fleet spaceborne. With no available information from the Yehat, Shofixti, or Orz, we have no idea how far reaching these operations are, or how many other races may have been targeted. So if there is any more information available about these raids, please let us know so that we can get a better picture of what the VUX are up to and can more accurately predict where they might strike next."

"As for the current situation, I see no reason why an armed incursion into your space with obviously hostile intent should not be met with lethal force. However, I feel it would be premature to retaliate directly against the VUX until they answer for their activities. As such, I would recommend increasing border patrol forces until we can determine how best to stop these raids from continuing. Ambassadors Zip, Fip, and Pok, if the Zoq-Fot-Pik require assistance in dealing with this threat, we would be happy to send a contingent of Penetrators to assist in reinforcing your defenses."

Lord 111 was clearly not a.... being.... of many words. Without the doctrine to constantly recite, he found himself more of a thinker than anything else. Perhaps a result of the Dnyarri experimentation that created his race, perhaps not. Regardless, his mind was clear and he was completely focused on the delegates and their issues.

"General Gr'Tonk, Your species has proven time and again that it is incapable of nurturing a planet that will support life. However, this council will likely insist that you be given a world to... Develop. While habitable worlds are extremely rare in our galaxy, a list does exist of planets that can support your physiology. One such world is remarkably close to the coordinates of your previous homeworld. We will release this information to you only if you can convince this gathering that you will protect it and maintain it."

"Regarding the Vux, we have had no contact with that thrall since the end of the doctrinal conflict. Whether or not they still exist is a mystery to us."

"Without further data, the attacks on the Zoq-Fot Pik can neither be confirmed or denied."

Can we send a delegation of pod ships to meet at the VUX homeworld escorted by the Syreen? Then he perks up and says Traddash what happened to culture 21 if culture 20 was destroyed by those non the Ilwrath also if the Ilwrath still live and are still a threat we would love to void them till they surrender. Zot Fot Pik we think you should also send a delegation the VUX homeworld!

FOR ALL WE KNOW, A DELEGATION SENT TO VUX SPACE COULD VERY WELL BE FIRED AT UPON SIGHT, OR ITS VERY PRESENCE COULD BE CONSIDERED AN ACT OF WAR IN THEIR EYES. WE WOULD ADVISE AGAINST TAKING ANY INCURSIVE ACTION AGAINST THE VUX UNTIL THEIR DELEGATE ARRIVES TO EXPLAIN THE ACTIONS OF THEIR RACE. UNTIL SUCH A TIME, OR A TIME WHERE THE VUX ARMADA OPENLY DECLARES WAR, INCREASING DEFENSIVE MEASURES WILL HAVE TO SUFFICE. WE WILL DISPATCH A CONTINGENT OF AVATARS FOR THIS PURPOSE.

THRADDASH DELEGATE, THE KZER-ZA DELEGATE HAS A POINT. YOUR RACE IS WARLIKE BY NATURE; HOW WOULD WE KNOW THAT ANY WORLD YOU RECIEVE WOULD NOT BE RENDERED INHABITABLE THROUGH SOME PETTY ARGUMENT ESCALATING TO NUCLEAR EXCHANGE? REGARDLESS, HOWEVER, IT WOULD BE WRONG TO CONDEMN YOUR RACE TO DEATH NO MATTER THE CIRCUMSTANCES, AND SO WE MUST INSIST THAT THIS COUNCIL TAKES ACTION TO ENSURE THAT THE THRADDASH RACE RECIEVES A WORLD WHICH TO MAKE THEIR HOME. HOWEVER, KEEP IN MIND THAT SHOULD YOU DESTROY THE WORLD YOU RECIEVE, WE WOULD NOT GRANT YOU YET ANOTHER REPLACEMENT. REGARDING THE AQUA HELIX, IT IS CURRENTLY A PART OF THE ULTRON DEVICE WHICH IS IN THE POSSESSION OF THE UTWIG. YOU WILL HAVE TO ADDRESS THIS MATTER WITH THE UTWIG REPRESENTATIVE ONCE THEY ARRIVE. IN ADDITION, WE WOULD ASK THAT YOU HEED THE CLEARLY LABELLED "NO SMOKING" SIGN, WHICH YOU MAY OBSERVE IS MOUNTED ON THE WALL TO YOUR LEFT.

As soon as the Syreen delegate mentioned the Vindicator, Gr'Tonk began seething with rage. Slowly building as the other delegates spoke, the Thraddash's anger now boils over, and it explodes into a tirade:

"Humans?

ROAR!

HUMANS?

The Great Theives, those responsible for DECIEVING the fools of Culture 20, and robbing us of our Aqua Helix! SNORT! You think we're going to CONSULT with THEM? I'd sooner see our whole race ANNIHILATED than take anything from the Great Deciever and his ilk. SNORT!"

Seeming to calm down a little, after glancing at its interstellar communications panel, it turns toward the Ur-Quan and Chmmr delegates.

"(Hrmph.) Our leaders wish to make known their desire for (harg!) peace and tranquility in a new home. They reject (urgh!) the old, misguided tradition of conflict as a means of settling disagreements. We would not wantonly destroy our new home in a pointless global war.

Now, I think that's a bunch of nonsense, HARG!, but it's what my government says. Bunch of puny bureaucrats! But seriously, there's only a few thousand of us left. Even I figure a massive civil war is a bad idea... who cares who leads the Thraddash if they're all dead? HARG HARG HARG!"

Having finished its speech, the Thraddash ambassador demonstrates its attitude towards Melnorme smoking policy by grinding out its cigar butt on the "no smoking sign" and lighting another.

Please stop smoking in this room! I really don't tolerate airborne pollution really well and it is making me feel really uncomfortable. Understand that this assembly will be more willing to help you if you try to follow the governing rules that are in place. Furthermore, you need to be able to help yourself first and foremost. Your destructive tendencies almost caused your lost several time in the past. if we go back to your predicament, do you need protection from Illwrath at the moment?

Regarding the Vux incursion, we can send a delegation of star ships to help protect the ZFP area in case of direct hostile confrontation. Maybe that it will be enough to deter this situation. In the mean time, I also suggest that we try to contact the Vux high command to get explanation from them for their act of open violence.

I'm unfamiliar with the Vux in general, can someone explain to me what could be their motive to act out like that? I know that they have an aversion toward human. But, that doesn't explain why they lash out at Mycon and ZFP.

THERE ARE SEVERAL THEORIES. THE VUX COULD BE USING THE RELATIVE DISORDER FROM THE RECENT EVENTS TO PUSH OTHER RACES BACK. IT IS POSSIBLE THAT THE ATTACKS ARE CONDUCTED BY FREELANCERS, THOUGH WHETHER OR NOT THEIR ACTIONS ARE CONDONED BY THE VUX GOVERNMENT WE CANNOT SAY. THERE IS ALSO ONE OTHER... POSSIBILITY. IT IS IMPROBABLE, BUT CONSIDERING THE CONSEQUENCES SHOULD IT BE TRUE, WE FEEL THAT WE MUST MENTION IT.

AS YOU KNOW, THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THAT A SPECIES HAS BEHAVED ABNORMALLY. THE LAST EVENT OCCURRED WITH THE UMGAH, THE SOURCE OF WHICH WAS PROBABLY DESTROYED TOGETHER WITH THE SA-MATRA. HOWEVER, WHAT IF IT SURVIVED? NOW THAT THE TAALO MIND-SHIELD IS NO LONGER AN OPTION, SOLVING SUCH AN ISSUE WOULD BE HIGHLY... PROBLEMATIC. WE FEEL THAT THIS IS SOMETHING WE MUST TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION, HOWEVER WE SHOULD NOT JUMP TO CONCLUSIONS UNTIL TANGIBLE EVIDENCE ARRIVES.

Our Woking theory on the VUX is they have superpercptive eyes witch see even the deepest darkest blemishes and uglyness and then they juge everyone by the looks athnother theory by Mycon is that the VUX are just simply socially bigoted and hate others. Also even VUX children find other species mostly Humans disgusting. Also we Mycon want to make a alliance with you Thraddash if the new alliance won't accept us then you certentaily accept us as partners\ slaves to kill all of your enemy non! Also Thraddash we have a similar problem to this Aqua helix the captain stole our 'solar manipulater' pod of Juffo-Wup and we would like it back if we help you get back the Aqua helix will you help us get a new pod of Juffo-Wup. 'the destruction is a nessary sacrifice for the universe' I am Hush I choose when the deep children are released I died do to a programming error. We wish to please the creators!
