Re: Anyone up for multiplayer / succession style Dwarf Fortr
In case someone here is interested we started playing a succession fort last weekend. We had a Paranoia game scheduled, but it got canceled so we launched a fortress instead. Right now we are on the 3rd turn (Gekko -> Oldlaptop -> 3rd player), everyone doing one year, spring to spring. It's a coast ...

Re: Where are you heading?
Congralatutions Lukipela! Hopefully it all goes well and the baby is healthy. Exams, exams and more exams here. Recovered from a large septoplastic surgery almost completely now. Spending somewhere between 5 and 10 hours each day learning mathematics and the rest in mostly coding my own projects. Af...

Re: Where are you heading?
Well, the ultrasonic scan from today showed that my heart is fine and dandy and working as expected. They also did an hour long experiment which made sure the rhythm also kept consistent or something like that. One interesting oddity was that as the cardiologist was looking at my heart using ultraso...

Re: Where are you heading?
I'm heading for a possible path of heart and lung surgeries. I had had difficulties sleeping for the entire week, then my heart started racing on Tuesday. I managed to sleep the night well, but when I woke up my heart was still racing, I felt all agitated, wearied, like throwing up, filled with ener...

Re: SC2's Greatest Mysteries (spoilers)
I've been wondering for a while. What kind of quantity of ships did the humans have in the pre-Sa-Matran conflict? In Star Control universe we know that the planet Earth was still divided by nations and cultures, and that United Nations was working as world representative and authority in space matt...

Re: Net Melee Balance Mod ported to UQM 0.7
I'm using v0.7.0 UQM + v2.06 "Shiver's Improved NetMelee Mod" The Arilou's teleport seems a lot more useless than in vanilla- I think I know what you were trying to do but I think the teleport location should be at least somewhat random/unpredictable. Arilou went through a few versions. Namely, the...

Re: Lukipela's gambling experiment
Yeah, that's the thing I don't like about gambling. In order to succeed at it you've got to treat it like a job. I don't think I've got what it takes to become a gambler, I'm a slave to my emotions. That's why I'm studying to do something like computer programming. No emotions are necessary. Hey, y...

How NASA might build its first warp drive
I stumbled upon this article. To sum up, compressing space-time would allow moving faster than light within the limits of general relativity. Maybe in some decades a successful lab test works, then a few decades and we are fighting the Ur-Quan. *manly tear*

We'll have to try again at a better time. Thanks for trying. It seemed promising.
