Re: About to try to beat Star Control 2...no spoilers!

Nice. I have never dealt with the Thraddash this way in any of my playthroughs. I always knew this method was theoretically possible, but always went the more straightforward slaughter-befriend-rob blind approach. I always thought you had to wait for the mutual extermination to finish before the Hel...

Re: The Yehat Terminator

As you use various ships against the Thraddash, you will begin to notice that the AI does not actually register afterburner trails as a threat. So you will see a lot of ships flying through flame trails and taking damage where they could be easily avoided, destroyed, or defended against.

Just remember, the more you accomplish now, the more painful it will be to revert ever further, should you still elect to do that.

Re: About to try to beat Star Control 2...no spoilers!

I’ve also wondered, why doesn’t the Ur-Quan launch a few fighters regardless? I know if I were in their shoes I would; detection of the PDL shouldn’t nullify fighters usefulness altogether. It at least gives my enemy something else to contend with, no matter how futile. Besides, it’s still a drain ...

Absolutely agree with QS. I always hang onto one PDL, just to avoid the aforementioned offscreen ambushes by fighter squadrons. It's not as if the process of demolishing Dreadnoughts is noticeably slower if you have a full spread of homing hellbores anyway.

Re: The Syreen Penetrator

Hmmm… how come they can’t use their song on the fighters? Are fighters somehow encased with some kind of specialized psychic shielding? Maybe they’re secured within the confines to the point there’s no way for them to escape, so the little thrall pilot figures, “Well, I’d really like to join the Sy...

Re: About to try to beat Star Control 2...no spoilers!

I have to assume at this point that Trog is going to eventually rewind several months (or more, depending on how long he keeps following this doomed chronological thread) to before he incited the rebellion in Yehat space. He has taken many casualties already, and I have a feeling he is just waiting...

Re: Origins Melee Beta

It's because most companies are sensible enough not to try to stop people from talking about their resumes or new projects... but not all. Look at the recent fiasco with Konami suing their former employees for daring to insinuate that they may have once worked there while searching for new jobs. Ano...

Uh oh. Ignore that advice at your own risk, and remember your Metachron prediction too.

Re: Sequels strife

There's no grounds for a suit anyway. Domain names are first come, first served, which is why domain squatting is so popular. Bigger companies have tried and failed.
