Re: Your Opinion of the Androsynth

It's possible that they don't act human at all. That would throw people off a lot. Also, keep in mind that Star Control history is, uh, divergent from our own. How divergent exactly? Because it'd have to be VERY divergent. I mean, the way I see it with humanity... Although some people are ma...

Re: New Story Line Possibilities with existing SC2 universe?

Anyway making a second post on this... If you asked me what I PERSONALLY would do with the Storyline, I'd actually do something entirely different. EVERYONE now expects a story where the Orz/Androsynth thing is the main focus, so I'd actually completely ignore that, and do a Kohr-Ah/Milieu based sto...

The source of their claws and eyestalk presumably? But there's references to them having shells. Like them curling up in their shells when the Ur-Quan gave them the usual riot act on first contact.

Re: The Spathi's appearance.

Huh, odd. However I'd still say SC2 the game overrides any other canon. Anything else is canon only as far as it doesn't contradict SC2 for me. If it contradicts SC2, I give SC2 precedence. So I think the Spathi SHOULD be clams, because that's what they say they are in SC2. And not have little root ...

Re: Your Opinion of the Androsynth

I dunno, I personally find it easier to believe that the more INhuman the androsynth are, the easier it is to see that they would be mistreated. Whereas the more human they are the weirder I find it. (I mean even if they made cloned people that where otherwise fully human, I just find it a bit odd ...

Re: Wild Ur-quan speculation

The game is inconsistent though about their position in the ecosystem. The Ur-Quan themselves claim they where apex predators, but the Melnorme say they lived on a world where they weren't on the top of the foodchain, and had to compete with physically superior species. I'm actually leaning towards...

The Spathi's appearance.

Something that's been bugging me... Why are Spathi often drawn having a sort of bulb with little tendrils for an underside? SC2 mentions they have clam like shells. (probably with flippers and ridgecrests as well, considering the Spathi mention these when looking for the word backbone.) I more imagi...

Re: Your Opinion of the Androsynth

First of all, I find it a little irking that they are called Android Synthetics, when they are meant to be CLONES. Am I just confused or is this not right? I thought Androsynth meant "Fake Men" and was brought into use by Homo Deus. At least the Ultronomicon doesn't mention the word Android anywher...

Re: Wild Ur-quan speculation

It's possible the Ur-Quan are a neotenous species. (Retains the appearance of a larval stage in adulthood) or that the Ur-Quan at the end of their life (Which not many Ur-Quan might reach) moult into a breeding stage, breed, spawn thousands of eggs (to make up for all the Ur-Quan who didn't make it...
