That felt weird.
Aren't you glad you didn't mix up the two messages? I bet that would have been even weirder.

Although really, being told you're having surgery can be a good thing, too. Especially if, as it sounds, it fixes a chronic problem.

Re: The Scale of the Universe

Your link is 404'd now. But the thread title makes me think of Power of Ten. Call me a sucker for the classics, I guess.

Re: Where are you heading?

Starting Monday, I get to have...more schooling! Yay!

I actually am pretty excited about this. I've been kind of bored during the break between quarters.

Re: Minecraft server for the SC community?

So I found out that you can still toggle the fog by pressing F3 and F at the same time. So that's nice. I've never used it as 'hackervision' really, just to step down the load on my laptop when I'm trying to do something like climb a steep mountainside, or work around lava. Processor-lagging off a c...

I miss my fog-toggle. I used that a lot. The new lighting is awesome, though. It makes me glad I installed those piston-controlled skylights.

Re: Nuclear's retro gaming booty

Ooh, that does sound pretty cool. I never got pretty manuals with my copies, probably because they were purchased through those little Scholastic book catalogs that they would hand out in elementary school. I do remember there were some really neat pre-made scenarios in SimEarth that modeled the Gai...

Re: Nuclear's retro gaming booty

I've got copies of SimEarth and SimLife in jewel cases sitting on my shelf. They were never particularly stable or playable games, either one of them, for some reason. The fact that they're only kinda-sorta games to start with may have something to do with it. They're heavy on the 'sim' part of the ...

On a graph, the origin is coordinates (0,0). So spawn would be at the center of the coordinate system. Would make it slightly easier to navigate using coords if necessary.

Re: Minecraft server for the SC community?

Yes, it won't be long now guys. It usually takes a few days for bukkit to update their plugins after a new release but we don't have to have the plugins working to get started. I'll also need some time to build the main spawn building after updating to 1.8. and genning a new map. In the mean time d...

More precisely, both sapphire and ruby are transparent specimens of the mineral corundum, with the color determined by what trace minerals are contaminating the crystal. It's all Al2O3, though.
