And I was the lucky one to have posted in the news thread. I feel honoured, and chalk this up as a small, but difficult achievement. Life goes on. Thanks for the honour. But the exciting stuff is, that THERE WILL BE A CANON SC3!
So excited!

I split this off because it deserves to be a top-level post. Congratulations, Krulle, you have a thread in a mod-only-thread zone

Indeed. And likely on more planets than one. Maybe those are the left-over precursors? (If the precursors ever were just "one race", and not a group of races forming one mixed civilisation) Also, the new sequel discussion could be moved to the thread Eth created: http://www.star-control.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1255

First Star Control:Origins, now a true successor to Star Control 2! This is amazing news!
I've been coming to "The pages of now and forever", every now and then, signed petitions, etc. I am so happy this is actually happening!
I am a *happy camper*!

I wonder who created it in the first place.... Since the Spathi knew about it, it may have been another "prank" of our beloved chatty blobs of meat. And I wonder if an archeologic team would find evidence of other civilisations on the planet you found the Beast, or evidence that the Beast is not native to that ecological habitat...
