Not sure if this was posted already, but it's something that could give us a hint in the direction that the new star control 2 will be going (though it reminds me more of the end battle of mass effect 3 than anything star control related ;) )

Great scott! A new Star Control game! I was introduced to this living breathing universe back on the 3DO when SC2 was first released. It invaded my soul over time as it has with all the other fans here. I wasn't too sure on the whole alternate timeline idea but I might be warming up to it after reading the community's reaction to the news. I must ask a question that had gone unanswered in another thread:

Is there a chance that this new game will receive a console port? I understand that SC is primarily a computer game but think of the possibilities. Imagine what fun you could do with the Wii U's gamepad. I get kinda giddy when I think about using that gamepad as a tool on the bridge of a ship. Even studying a starchart on it sounds exciting to me. Just a thought. :)

Yeah, I guess it was up in the air for a few years but it was settled about a year ago? Maybe people following it were hearing about it slowly but it was weird to hear hearing all the gross stuff all at once just now. I guess it was easier to ignore when Stardock wasn't making anything I would be interested in anyway until now.

I was just reading what a sexist creep Brad Wardell is, so I decided to yank all the Stardock games I was mildly interested in off my steam wishlist, but then I see they're working on Star Control???

Man I hate when I want to boycott a company over politics and they're making something I actually care about. Yuck.

You may be right, but I was thinking more of a multiplayer arena. Maybe as a spin off game.

I wouldn't want Stardock to overload itself and make a crappy game with too many features to do any of them well.
